The moisture content of paper or similar material defined of the loss of weigh of a sample, dried under specified conditions to constant weight at a specified temperature and is express as a percentage of the weight of the moist sample. For moisture determination of Pulp, Paper & Paperboard a pre weighted sample put into the heating chamber at a specified constant temperature for a given time and after drying re-weigh the sample again. The loss of the weight of the sample is measured.
